Built at the turn of the century, this charming colonial Bed and Breakfast features a spacious living room with a fireplace, a princess grand piano, and original oak woodwork. Three bedrooms, each with a private bath, are furnished with antiques and offer fantastic views of the St. Mary's River, Lake Huron and Drummond Island.
Relax on the veranda overlooking DeTour Passage and watch International freighters as they make their way to and from the Soo Locks. If more activity is preferred play croquet on the side lawn, take a short walk down the hill for a tour of the Botanical Gardens nestled along the shore of Lake Huron, or enjoy nearby hiking trails at the Nature Conservancy or cross-country ski trails at the State Park.
Innkeepers,
Dave and Susie Rhinard, serve a hearty breakfast at the round oak table in the
dining room between 7:30 and 9:30 AM, depending on guest preferences. Rates,
which include bed and breakfast, range from $79 to $119 per night, based on the
room and the season. Please see the rate table page for
seasonal rates, reservation policies and details.
Described
as a quaint fishing village, DeTour is located at the tip of the Eastern Upper
Peninsula, about an hour from the Mackinaw Bridge. The Huron Street Inn sits
at the top of a hill on the corner of St. Mary’s Street and Huron Street, only
one block from the Drummond Island Ferry dock. Formerly known as the
"Apple Rose B&B", the inn is within walking distance to
